Leaves dashing,
Waves crashing,
Then a thunder-clap from the northern shore.
Boats docking,
Folks rushing,
All to beat the rain and the coming storm.
Dogs yapping,
Tarps flapping,
As a pillar of clouds ascends above.
Kids twirling,
Clouds swirling,
The thunder-head prepares to shares some more.
Streets teaming,
Pets screaming,
All worried as a wall cloud extends below.
Then pausing,
And waiting,
Everyone greets natures grandest show.
Like a thread --
It extends,
And descends,
The spinning funnel has begun to grow.
It dances,
And chances,
Then it touches the lake's surface and so...
Plains killer,
Shore thriller,
While feeding it's soul has begun to know,
The siren yells,
And clanging bells,
Have announced the end of the show.
Poetic Ineptitude
A rather awful little site filled with bad poems.

Dave the Slave
There once was a man named Dave,
Who wanted to be a slave.
He groveled and begged
At his mistresses leg,
But never learned to behave.
He would smile and then wave,
And her legs he would shave.
But, she’d crack her whip,
And then force him to strip.
Yet, affection he still gave.
So she pulled out a gun
‘n then shot him for fun,
But forgot to dig him a grave.
The Briefest of Moments
New friends gathered there
Shaking hands
Making plans
For the very first time
Old friends were huddled
Catching up
Making up
For some long lost time --
Everyone was waiting
To see her
To see him
(and/to) Bear witness in this house
Celebrate a love
overdue
deep and true
And hear their vows
And then she entered
Flowing hair
Halcyon eyes
With brilliant beaming smile
Adorned in regal colors
Gracefully
Floating by
Capturing my mind for a while
In this briefest moment
Friends were forgotten
There was nothing to make up
And no celebration
There was just this
The briefest of moments
Nothing more
Than a fleeting kiss
And after that moment
I felt guilty
And looked away
For she was not the bride.
Entwined
Dancing
And undulating
Keeping time with the rhythm
Rising
And falling
She moves so lithesome
Angelic curves
And succubine voice
She touches me -- drawing me in
Seducing me
Then reducing me
To the embodiment of sin
Nearer
And closer
Her lips come to mine
Hotter
And fiercer --
My desire to entwine
To be transformed by Eros
And become the beast with two spines
To have one heartbeat
And for a moment -- to be complete
Touching
And kissing
Our lips become fire
Hotter
And fiercer
Than bestial desire
Undulating
and rising
She moans as I sink within
Dancing
and falling
We embrace our sin
For Eros has found us,
the beast with two lives,
sharing one heartbeat
breathless -- and complete.
